Bi-Weekly Sketch Challenge #22

Welcome to our 22nd bi-weekly sketch challenge! Here’s the sketch for the next couple of weeks. It’s open to interpretation. Feel free to change the orientation of the sketch, use different shapes, add other elements to suit the type of paper craft you’re making, and so on — just make sure the sketch is recognizable in your submission(s).

PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU LINK UP YOUR PROJECT(S): You can use stamps by other companies to create projects that you enter to our challenges. We don't require players to use our images because we want our challenges to be a fun place for crafters to freely play with whatever stamps and supplies they have. If you have STAMPlorations stamps in your stash, though, we'd be tickled if you used them! We do have one rule we hope you'll abide by: If you're on the design team of another stamp company, please don't use our challenges to link up projects that you make for the sole purpose of promoting or advertising your company's events (e.g., stamp releases and/or sale events). You are welcome to play as long as your project/post isn't solely promotional in nature. If you are on the DT of a regular challenge blog, please feel free to link up your projects, including those where you use images provided by whoever is sponsoring your current challenge, if they fit our challenge -- those are fine with us :o)

PRIZE
The sketch challenges are sponsored by our sister shop, All About Scrapping. The winner gets to pick 3 DIGITAL products from the shop — any combination of printable sheetsPhotoshop templates, and digital paper packs. The winner will also be invited to be a Guest Designer in next month's sketch challenge.

A TWIST IN OUR CHALLENGES
Participate in all 3 challenges we host this month and you'll be in the running to win this month's prize: a pack of 12 assorted rub-ons.

INSPIRATION PROJECTS

Our guest designer for this challenge is Leslie of The Crooked Stamper! She was our sketch challenge #19 winner. Check out how she rocked our sketch!

Guest Designer
"I started stamping in 2002 after I was sucked into it by a heat-embossing demo at a local craft store while on vacation in Florida. Then I discovered Stampin' Up! and joined "for the discount". I taught classes for 8 years before I resigned, mostly because I was an equal opportunity collector, and I really wanted to use ALL THE STAMPS. One of my customers suggested I start a blog. I joking said, "What would I call it, The Crooked Stamper?", which was an inside joke -- they accused me of not being able to cut parts for my kits straight. She said, "I'd read it." and my life entered Blogland. Then I discovered challenge blogs, and I'm now addicted to challenges. My favorites are sketch challenges. I'm now retired from the Day Job, and I play in my craft room most days. I also run the Shopping Our Stash challenge blog, and I'm a designer and DT coordinator for A Blog Named Hero

And here are the inspiration projects by the STAMPlorations design team. We'd love it if you'd visit our blogs and say hi!

READY TO PLAY?
  • Create a new project -- card, tag, mini album/scrapbook cover, layout, home decor item, or any paper craft -- on ANY THEME using the sketch as your guide. Any style is welcome — CAS, shabby chic, vintage, grunge, and so on. Post your creation on your blog and submit it by 11:55 p.m. PDT on Friday, October 31. Don’t have a blog? You can post a photo of your project on your Pinterest page, Flickr, or any public online gallery.
  • You must use stamps (rubber, cling, clear, digi — from any company) in your creation(s). You do not need to use STAMPlorations stamps to enter this challenge, but please keep this one important rule in mind: if you are on the design team of another stamp company, please don't use our challenges to link up projects that you make for the sole purpose of promoting or advertising your company. You are welcome to play as long as your project/post is not solely promotional in nature. If you are on the DT of a regular challenge blog (not affiliated with a stamp company), please feel free to link up your projects, including those where you use images provided by whoever is sponsoring your current challenge, if they fit our challenge.
  • Copy the link of your blog entry where you have your project posted and enter it to the linky found at the end of this post. Remember to link directly to your blog post, not just your blog URL. (This will make it easy for us to find your submission and leave a comment. Please turn off word verification as well.)
  • Please include a text link back to this post in your blog post, as well as display the sketch, to encourage other paper crafters to participate.
  • You can submit up to 3 entries for this challenge.
  • You can submit your creation(s) to other challenges — as many as you want — except to other sketch challenges for obvious reasons!
  • Be a follower of our blog to qualify for the prize.
  • And lastly, have a great time creating your project! :-)

We’ll announce the winner and top picks on Sunday, November 2, here on the STAMPlorations™ blog and on the All About Scrapping page on Facebook. That’s it…we look forward to seeing what you create!

Spammers have been in full force lately so I had to turn comment moderation on. We love hearing from fellow crafters (not spammers), so your comment will be approved as soon as possible. Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts with us :o)
